PINTURAS na Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Cabo em Linda-a-Velha (Oeiras)

Quando me fizeram a proposta para realizar as pinturas na Igreja de Linda-a-Velha, a preocupação principal era o de escrever (pintando) nas telas uma catequese tirada da Bíblia e da teologia, com Arte simples para que todos desde a criança ao adulto pudessem compreender a mensagem cristã, daí não fazer uma Obra de Arte numa vertente mais intelectual.
O aparecer das obras sociais e culturais nesta paróquia, foram feitas para dar seguimento ao que na história da igreja sempre foi feito tomando as artes plásticas, a música e as obras sociais (como valiosos instrumentos de evangelização) e de facto esse objectivo foi alcançado nesta paróquia que conseguiu levar a Boa Nova a crentes e não crentes mostrando a Igreja ao serviço de toda a gente sem excepção de pessoas.


PAINTINGS in the Church of Nª. Sra. do Cabo de Linda-a-Velha (Oeiras)

When they had made me the proposal to carry through paintings in the Linda-a-Velha Church, the main concern was to write (painting) in screens one catechism taken off of the Bible and the theology, with simple Art so that all since the child to the adult could understand the Christian message, from there not to make a Work of art in a more intellectual source. Appearing of the social and cultural workmanships in this parish, they had been made to give pursuing what in the history of the church always it was made taking the arts plastic, the social music and workmanships (as valuable instruments of evangelization) and of fact this objective was reached in this parish that obtained to take Good New the not believing believers and being shown to the Church to the service of all people without exception of people.
